From when I first saw this character of hers. I was really fascinated by the character concept and the idea behind him. It appears he went through many changes, and here is the newest one, I'll admit that the mask was a bitch to do. I basically wanted to re-create the said picture above in my own style, as a tribute I suppose.(Also I couldn't find too many other pose references for a mask like that.)
Normally when I do my work, I usually do it bright and colorful and very..well 'cel-shaded' as someone put. In this case; I tried to make it darker, I used more layers for shading and such...

Well; this is one of my favourite characters of Hotaru's, and I truly hope she enjoys seeing this picture as much as I enjoyed working on it...
